The Ekadasi Retreat

In the above picture, we are looking at a “crop circle” that appeared overnight in the Netherlands a few years ago. It is a symbol of transformation > a human butterfly is at the center of that transformation. We have been living like caterpillars that eat and destroy everything for their own purpose, now we are in the process of transformation into a more beautiful and beneficial creature. This is the process of Ekadasi; we need to let go of the past with whatever bad habits, bad thoughts and bad emotions in order to become the newer better version of ourselves.

ABOUT THE TECHNIQUE;
This technique is one of many in the science of Pranayama Yoga. Once students have learned how to breathe correctly as with Mahat Yoga Pranayama, we initiate deep breathing in mathematical ratios of in-breath, out-breath and retentions. Time tested over millennia, this method directs the energy to the three nadis (energy channels) known as Ida, Pingala and Shushumna, so as to break through any resistances or blockages that may have developed over the years living in the karmic world. The retentions stimulate higher voltage in the prana flow, pushing the energy through resistance. When this happens we experience some type of emotional release as buried memories come to the surface. These results will vary greatly and of course depend on early childhood life, traumatic or beautiful. With contemplation of past events we can come to a deeper understanding of human nature – our own and the nature of others is our social environment, past, present and future. with this wisdom we can stop reacting with mental patterns that no longer serve us.
